Meeting Jung Min and Era early in the morning really paid off with nice light. And it was a pleasure to get to know them better before their wedding this October.

Our friends at J. Andrews Salon recently needed some photos and we were happy to help out. Their great space is easy to make look good and we had fun spending the morning there.

We had to change our location last second due to wind near the lake but this spot ended up really working out. Amy and Mark were really easy going and took it all in stride..

Christine and Brian were married at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago just over a year after Brian played an integral role in helping to save the 134-year-old landmark from burning to the ground. In February of 2009, Brian and his firefighter colleagues responded to a call at the church at 5:30am and by 8:00am had successfully saved the church from total destruction.
Holy Name was repaired and reopened about 6 months later and Christine and Brian were recently honored to exchange vows in the cathedral. Then, following the ceremony, the celebration moved to the beautiful University Club of Chicago.
Their easy going nature made them fun to photograph….We wish them all the luck!
Great couple, beautiful venues, extraordinary event!

Jaclyn and Tom made the most of a chilly morning in downtown Chicago. They were comfortable in front of the camera from the get go, and that combined with their love for each other made for great photos…Congratulations!

Diane and Doug were great sports in the cold, snowy Chicago winter. They love the city and wanted to make a lot of stops which was great for a nice variation in the session. Congratulations you two!

Colleen and John were one of our favorite couples this year. They both had a great sense of humor and were fun to work with. Their ceremony and reception were both at University Club in Chicago. They always host a great event.

Paul scored tickets to the Bulls game last night. (Thanks Tom!). We made the long haul (5 blocks) to the United Center to kick back and watch the game with a few beers. I snapped an iPhone pic for posterity.

We have been photographing the Conservation Ball for the Friends of Conservation for the last few years. This is their annual fundraiser, which helps support amongst many good works a wildlife reserve in Kenya. This year’s celebrity was Nicolette Sheridan.

I never imagined that a civil ceremony at the Cultural Center would be so interesting. We were able to walk around the area and use the EL and Millennium Park as backdrops.
